Jury Verdict. Santa Clara County, Judge William Monahan, Personal Injury. Plaintiff, a window-washer by trade, was the victim of a rear-end collision on a freeway that resulted in him having a lumbar discectomy surgery. Total award amounted to $2,290,000.00.

Jury Verdict. Orange County, Judge Robert J. Moss, Personal Injury. An 86-year-Plaintiff suffering from chronic leukemia was struck by Defendant’s vehicle as he was pulling out of his residential driveway. As a result, Plaintiff fractured her elbow and a few ribs. Defendant denied he ever struck Plaintiff. Plaintiff waived her medical bills and sought general damages for pain & suffering only. Total award amounted to $1,695,000. 00.

Settlement. Los Angeles County, premises liability case involving a store-front crash by a drunk driver. Liability hinged on the landowner’s lack of protective bollards.

Jury Verdict. Los Angeles County, Judge William G. Willett, Medical Malpractice. Had the Plaintiff’s physician acted within the standard of care during previous patient visits, Plaintiff would have never needed a hysterectomy. Plaintiff’s spouse received $250,000 for his loss of consortium claim.

Jury Verdict. Los Angeles County, Judge Michelle E. Flurer, Personal Injury. An elderly Plaintiff was the victim of a slip and fall at Vons which resulted in her having a cervical fusion. Relevant sub rosa footage of Plaintiff was admitted and shown to the jury. Defendants offer at the time of trial was zero.

Jury Verdict. Los Angeles County, Judge Peter J. Mirich, Personal Injury. Plaintiff was the victim of a lateral impact by a commercial van which resulted in her having a lumbar fusion. Plaintiff had no report of back pain for two months following the subject crash. Following a document production made early on in the case, Defendants made allegations of medical fraud against one of Plaintiff’s treating physicians.
